Project
Since I began my professional journey I have been lucky to collaborate with some fascinating projects. I have had a chance to work with Prof Koorosh Shahpasand who has great background on the neurodegenerative disorder in our team he was our supervisor on our research project and I was the research assistant throughout the project, furthermore, I know working in this team each day brings me closer to reaching my goals.
A brief review of Autism:
What is ASD?
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) are group disorder with common disability
Autism consist of disorder of developmental of brain function

Shocking Statistic
•1 out of every 88 children
•Four times as many boys than girls
•Cost 268bilion$ each year to treat
•No medical detection for Autism
•No known cure
•Lifelong condition

Causes of Autism
Unkonown.no guideline for preventing in

Valid factor the most significant causes

Parental envoierment

Diabetes –and use of psychiatric drugs in mother during pregnancy

Genetic factor
More in monozygotic twins than dizygotic twin in nearly
9 0ut 10 cases.

Sibling of autistic children shows a prevalence of autistic disorder.

Researcher are starting to identify particular genes that may increase the risk
For ASD

Loss of neurological function in ASD, as observed in affected children who have regressed, can be explained as neurodegeneration or a type of progressive encephalopathy. Neurodegeneration is the progressive loss of structure or function of neurons. In diseases that are classically known as neurodegenerative, such as Parkinson’s disease (PD), Alzheimer’s disease (AD), or Huntington’s disease.

Cis p-tau is a major early driver leads to tauopathy and neurodegenerative disease

we hypothesized Autism conditions would result in cis p-tau accumulation and neural cell death.
